Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data the Hush page at hush.dumpling.software collects and why.
Who is responsible
Dumpling Software UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Kollwitzstrasse 76, 10435 Berlin, Germany. Email: support@dumpling.software
Your email address (early access)
When you sign up we store your email address, the time you signed up, which ad or link brought you here (campaign parameters such as utm_source and the ad you clicked) and, if you answer it, which feature you would use most. We use your email address only to tell you when Hush is available and to invite you to early access. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to support@dumpling.software or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We delete your email address once you withdraw consent, or at the latest 6 months after Hush launches if you have not become a user.
Page visits
When you open this page we record an anonymous visitor ID (a first-party cookie named ab_v), the page version you saw and the campaign parameters in the link, to count visits per ad. Our servers also process your IP address and browser information to deliver the page; these server logs are kept for a short time for security. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and measuring our campaign (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Meta Pixel
When you open this page we load the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (for visitors outside the EU: Meta Platforms, Inc., USA). It tells Meta that you viewed this page and, if you join, that you signed up, so we can measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may combine this with your Meta account and process data in the USA. Our ads for Hush are shown only in the United States. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring our advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time; you can also block the pixel with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings. Meta's data policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy
Service providers
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): delivers the page and stores images.
- Railway Corporation (USA): hosts our application and database.
Both act as processors under data processing agreements. Transfers to the USA rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
